During one of my long sits, waiting for Forpus to appear on the nest box before me, I noticed a Straight-billed Woodcreeper (Xiphorhynchus picus) foraging along the fenceline. On the post closest to me, he managed to snag a tasty treat, and I snagged this quick series of photos of the struggle.
The woodcreeper later staked his claim to this big fencepost from all other woodcreepers in the area, and nested in the big cavity in the center.
