I do thin...It is a real shame, but rules are rules. I do think Dendroica rolls off the tongue better than Setophaga.<br /><br />I agree that the demise of Parula is an ironic tragedy. It is worth noting that does not necessitate a change to the family name Parulidae - it will just make future generations shake their heads and wonder where that family name came from.<br /><br />Parula, Oporornis, Dendroica, Wilsonia, Ergaticus and Phaeothlypis are likely gone forever. It would be a shame...This is really great, Nick. <br /><br />It would be a shame to lose the genus <i>Dendroica</i>, it's got such great history and I prefer "Tree-livers" to what is <i>Setophaga</i>, "Moth eaters"? <br /><br />And a Parula with no genus <i>Parula</i> is a tragedy.
